The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) - World Anti-Aging Academy of Medicine (WAAAM) is the pioneer, largest and most influential academic organization worldwide in the space of preventative, anti-aging medicine and regenerative bio-medical technologies. A4M, which began its mission in 1993 with just 12 physicians, has now grown into a worldwide international medical society with over 20,000 members from 100 nations worldwide. The Academy today influences over 100,000 health professionals via its scientific educational training programs, seminars, board certification programs, videos, website, textbooks, and outreach programs.

ASIA ANTI AGING is an A4M co-sponsored education program held in strategic collaboration with the Center for Study of Anti-Aging Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University ‚Bali, Indonesia. This is the largest conference in Asia Pacific on Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

The number of older persons in the Asia-Pacific region increased nearly 3.5 times during the period from 1950 to 2000, from 64 million to 234 million. This number is projected to reach 918 million, a nearly fourfold increase, by 2050. To address the social, economic, and personal ramifications associated with this demographic shift, it is necessary for physicians and allied health personnel in nations throughout the Asia-Pacific region to become adequately trained in caring for the needs of the region's swelling aging population.

In 1990 it was nearly unthinkable for a respected scientist to suggest that physiologic aging metabolism could be manipulated, slowed, or reversed with drug or biomedical interventions. Today anti-aging biosciences are the rage, with great advances in nanotechnology, genomic research, bio-identical HRT, gene therapy, stem cells, cloning, biomarker testing of aging, and human augmentation. A4M in no small way is responsible for the advances by creating an environment of academic and clinical freedom to allow doctors to combat aging as a disease.
