Tina Henrietta E. Czech
President, Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC)
Founder and Principal, Australian Institute of Laser Therapy
(AILT)
Member, Honorary Board of Directors for the World Academy
for Laser Applications (WALA) |
|
|
 |
Tina Henrietta E. Czech has studied in France,
the USA, Germany and United Kingdom and is a registered training
provider, university lecturer and clinician who specialises in remedial
dermal, scar and post operative therapy. She is the President of
the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC) and holds a Bachelor
of Health Science in Clinical Dermal Therapies from Victoria University,
Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition, Diploma in Aesthetics and
Electrology and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
During her 16 years of clinical practice, she has had over 3,000
hours of operating room experience with Australia's most renowned
cosmetic and plastic re-constructive surgeons and dermatologists.
Tina is the founder and principal of the Australian Institute of
Laser Therapy, which is a registered training organisation that
assists medical and allied health practitioners, nurses and therapists
to learn the underpinning science and practical hands on application
of clinical laser therapy and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). As a specialist
in high level laser for dermatological treatment, her main area
of interest is in low level laser application which she was introduced
in 1994 by Dr Mary Dyson who was conducting tissue repair research
at Guys Hospital in London. This method of laser application is
non thermal and can effectively reduce pain and inflammation and
accelerate natural healing and regeneration processes in all types
of tissues and skin, without risk of thermal injury associated with
high level lasers and IPL. Consequently Tina has written several
courses on the subject of laser science and clinical low level laser
therapy and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), which have been accredited
and registered by the Victorian Registration and Qualifications
Authority (VRQA) and are nationally recognised. This includes an
intensive ‘Laser Science and Safe Use of Laser and Intense
Pulsed Light’ course, which has been approved by Government
Radiation Health Authorities as a pre-requisite for obtaining a
licence to operate laser devices in various states of Australia.
This course is followed by a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Laser
Therapy and Intense Pulsed Light for Dermatology and Scar Repair
and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Laser Therapy for Musculoskeletal
Conditions, Pain and Wound Healing. Tina is involved in ongoing
scientific research and is a member of the Honorary Board of Directors
for the World Academy for Laser Applications (WALA) and a member
of the Medical Laser Committee for Australian Standards and Wound
Management Association of Victoria. She is well recognised both
in Australia and overseas for her educational contributions in the
areas of Laser, Dermatology, Tissue Repair, Nutritional Health and
Anti-Ageing, and is a regular speaker at major national and international
